Nursing Home Monitors was formed in 1995 by family members of nursing home residents who witnessed, first hand, the pervasive substandard care and dangerous conditions in the nation's nursing homes.

The group set out to find the causes for the lack of accountability and has been working to improve conditions ever since.

An all volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, Nursing Home Monitors is supported solely by private contributions.
